We are heading to the DEAD SEA…
Right! The only sea on earth where you can not get yourself drown..
At most, just gulp mouthful of water.
We are now at sea level! Moving forward slowly~~
What’s so amazing about DEAD SEA?
The Dead Sea is the lowest point on earth in any land mass (417 meters below sea level). It is 67 kilometres (42 mi) long and 18 kilometres (11 mi) wide at its widest point. The quantity of water that evaporates from it is greater than that which flows into it, such that this body of water has the highest concentration of salt in the world (340 grams per liter of water).
It is called the Dead Sea because its salinity prevents the existence of any life forms in the lake. That same salt, on the other hand, provides healing properties. All these and more make the Dead Sea so fascinating, so different and so interesting.
The Dead Sea area has become a major centre for health research and treatment for several reasons. The mineral content of the water, the very low content of pollens and other allergens in the atmosphere, the reduced ultraviolet component of solar radiation, and the higher atmospheric pressure at this great depth each have specific health effects. For example, persons suffering reduced respiratory function from diseases such as cystic fibrosis seem to benefit from the increased atmospheric pressure.
Time to soak into the amazing dead sea and enjoy “harmful” UV rays!! Sunblock not required 😉
Our guide, Ms Phyllis Gil-Ad (email: firstname.lastname@example.org) brought us to a private mineral beach 🙂
It is located in the CENTRAL section of the Dead Sea, opposite the AHAVA Visitors Center, near Mitzpe Shalem. It’s about a 15-min drive north of Masada National Park.
Why this place? Because it is private and facilities like showers, lockers attached. Bonus point: Life-guards and doctor also available, in case of any emergency.
And all these cost 50 shekels per person to enter where you have access for the above facilities and lots, lots of space at the dead sea.
That’s means= I can float wherever I like. Or, maybe can bring passport along in an attempt to swim across to Jordan. Hahaha~~This is just a wishful thinking.

Dead Sea is filled with so much FUN! That, we did not even realised time have passed. Another amazing thing – All of us get a very nice tan without getting any sun burn. Wonderful~~
I want to go again~ to have a beautiful tan ^_^
Being tan is not a bad thing after all :p
