Israel – Adventurous Jeep Ride

After our wonderful lunch at the Ein Gev Fish Restaurant, we are heading next to our long-waited jeep tour!!

This is my very first experience on a jeep! So excited~

Our jeep tour guide, Yishay Yechieli, came to pick us up at the restaurant. And, the fun-filled adventure ride began. Let’s go~~!!

 

Yishay took us to the Jordan Valley which forms part of the larger Jordan Rift Valley.  It runs from Lake Tiberias to Dead Sea and the border between Israel, Jordan and West Bank.  To enjoy such a scenic view, one of the best way is to jump onto a jeep :D. 

Israel – Waiting to be explore

During my sharing, I realised that many thought that Israel is a religious place for Christianity and thought that I was there for missionary trip. Emm… Sorry… I’m not.

And, I’m going to share with you on this promised land aka Israel.

She borders Lebanon in the north, Syria in the north-east, Jordan in the east, Egypt and the Gaza Strip in the southwest, and the Gulf of Aqaba in the Red Sea to the south.  It contains geographically diverse features within its relatively small area.  Driving from North to South will take no more than 5 hours.  If you look at the map, she is long and slim.

Actually, I do not want to touch on the economy but I think a short one will let people have a rough idea?

She is a developed country, a OECD member, and its economy, based on the nominal gross domestic product, was the 40th-largest in the world in 2011.  Surprise? Surprises?

This is especially for Keren-Or – is a student from Technion who is in her early twenties.  Though she is young in age, she’s mature, responsible, smart and brave!

I knew her through my travel blogger friend, Eunice as we were planning for our Israel trip.

Initially we were just asking for suggestion but what amazed us is that, she has actually planned a very detailed itinerary  for us within two months.!  Keren-Or wanted us to enjoy Israel as well as to see the best of Israel.

Not only this, she came all the way from her hometown, Nahariya (northern city of Israel) to fetch us from the airport.  She waited for us for more than two hours due to slight delay of our flight and long queues at the Customs and Immigration.

Jonathan Roshfeld, one of Israel’s top chefs, and also one of the judges in the on-going popular television cooking game show: Master Chef.

It is located on Tel Aviv Promenade with great ambience. You can overlook the Mediterranean sea while dining. This is Superb~ and definitely helps in increasing appetite ^-^

This fine-dining restaurant’s menu is a combination of a Tapas Bar and a Mediterranean restaurant. And, that’s make the dishes amazing and not to mention, it is under the creation of Chef Roshfelds.

Wow~ Look at the vibrant colours of these appetizers. I believe your appetite has awake, just like I did.

Dead Sea in Israel

We are heading to the DEAD SEA…

Right! The only sea on earth where you can not get yourself drown..
At most, just gulp mouthful of water.

We are now at sea level! Moving forward slowly~~

What’s so amazing about DEAD SEA?

The Dead Sea is the lowest point on earth in any land mass (417 meters below sea level). It is 67 kilometres (42 mi) long and 18 kilometres (11 mi) wide at its widest point. The quantity of water that evaporates from it is greater than that which flows into it, such that this body of water has the highest concentration of salt in the world (340 grams per liter of water).
